Gigabyte Express T1 & DSL performance for Mac OS X and Linux!
As of February 8, 2010, Gigabyte Express for Intel Mac OS X (version 7.213) with Graphical User Interface is available. This marks 16 years for Niwot Networks delivering Gigabyte Express on the Macintosh platform!
- The new GUI allows for monitoring of all Dial and Answer sessions as they run. With Version 7.210, the GUI supports Manual Send/Get of files and folders along with Autosend capability. Configuration of the program is done via editing of configuration files.
- Root access is no longer required in order to install or run Gigabyte Express on Mac OS X.
- Gigabyte Express T1 for Mac OS X, recommended for international megabit links (benefits up to 4 megabits/sec) with latencies(ping-times) from 60 to 700 milliseconds. This product includes Niwot's patented RELIA technology which overcomes packet loss without requiring retransmission.
List price for Gigabyte Express T1(4+4) for Mac OS X that supports 4 dial and 4 answer sessions is $814 per year.
- Gigabyte Express DSL for Mac OS X, recommended for automated operation over domestic links up to 4 megabits/sec with latencies(ping times) up to 200 milliseconsds.
